What's New in Our Churches

Listed below are items of current interest from our member churches.

  • Doctors Creek

    Doctors Creek had 15 people sign up for the prayer & evangelism strategy that was introduced at our Prayer Workshop on February 2.  Participants will commit to pray with 2 prayer partners weekly, praying specifically for 3 lost/unchurched friends or neighbors, and using servant ministry, personal testimony, and a gospel tract look for opportunities to share Christ with those neighbors between now and Easter.   Bob Johnson is pastor. 

  • Faith Crossing

    Faith Crossing will hold a benefit BBQ Dinner with proceeds going to their building fund.  The dinner (carry out only) will be Saturday, March 27 from 3:00pm until.  Menu includes pulled pork, rice & hash, green beans, cole slaw, and tea or lemonade.  Cost is $7 per plate.  Plates may be picked up at the new site directly across from Shoney's on Sniders Hwy.  James Pedigo is pastor. 

  • North Walterboro

    North Walterboro will host Apologetix in concert on Saturday, March 13, at 7:00pm.  Apologetix takes popular music from the 70s, 80s, & 90s and adds Christian lyrics.  Individual tickets are $10 in advance.  Groups of 10+ are $8/person.  For more info, call the church at 538-8080.   Curtis Petit is pastor. 

  • Walterboro First

    First Baptist Church will host a Youth Rally on Saturday, March 20, at 7:00pm.  The speaker will be Tracy Turner, who was the speaker for the 2009 Walterboro World Changers Project.  Jason Cook will be leading worship.  Dr. Randy Gardner is pastor. 

  • Buckets of Hope for Haiti

  • CODE BLUE Gospel Ministry Update

    • 103 packets were distributed on February 27.   Each family received a copy of the "Gospel of John," Ray Comfort's "Hell's Best Kept Secret" CD, a Gospel tract, and a note listing the CBA Website.  Pray that God will use His word to change lives.  So far, we've placed the Gospel into 4,306 homes plus distributed 302 copies of "The Invitation" CD at the Rice Festival. 

    No distribution on March 6, due to the ARCHERY OUTREACH EVENT at Canaan Church.  The RED TEAM & the WHITE TEAM will distribute on March 13.  The ORANGE TEAM will be distributing on March 20.  No distribution on March  27, due to the RA/GA/Mission Kids Track Meet.  Meet us at the Associational Office any Saturday at 9:30am   Anyone is welcome to help reach our Jerusalem for Christ.
