Men's Ministries

  • Men's Prayer Breakfast

Our next prayer breakfast will be on Saturday, March 13, at 8:00am at the Associational Office.   Cost is a minimum donation of $3.  Proceeds after the cost of the meal will go to the 2010 Project.  Good food, good fellowship, and a time of prayer for men and boys.

Two Adults prayed to receive Christ

Between 175 and 200 people attended our first Archery Event.  Guests came from as    far away as Pickens County, SC.   Jason Cook provided the sound system and  worship music.  Chris McDaniel, formerly of the country group Confederate Railroad provided some music and shared his testimony of how surrendering to Christ changed his life.  Almost 100 woodland cover New Testaments were distributed and $1,450 was raised for the  2010 “Big God Walterboro Event” to be held October 10-11.

  • Men's Rally100 men & boys attended our rally at Bedon Church on January 26.   The Bedonites provided a great meal --- pork chops, pizza, and tacos.  Roland Marchant challenged us to lead the association to give $20,000 for the 2010 Christmas Project.   As a motivator, it was decided that if the $20,000 goal is reached, Zane's head will shorn on the day of the project.  Curt Bradford gave a stirring challenge to 'Live Sent.'

  • Men's Ministries Christmas Project

Over 90 volunteers came together on Saturday, December 19, at 8:30am at the Colleton County High School Commons Area as we met needs and shared Christ through our Annual Christmas Project.  We served 115 families involving 272 children.  Each family received a food box, a Bible, and a copy of Ray Comfort's "Hell's Best Kept Secret" CD.  Each child received clothes, toys, and a Bible story book or a Christian Music CD.

Special thanks to all of our volunteers and contributors.  Thanks also to Colleton County High School and principal Cliff Warren, Wal-Mart, Piggly Wiggly, Buck's Pizza, United Way and director Janette Moyer & staff, and to Gene & Linda Wynn and their volunteers.

Over $15,000 was contributed for the project in 2009.  It was our largest and most productive in 20+ years.  You can help us now by praying that God would honor His word and bring spiritual fruit from these efforts.  Pray that His word would take root in hearts and change lives.
